Happy New Year! 2017 was such a phenomenal year and brought so many great experiences. With the new year here, I’m joining others in making a list of goals or things that I want to achieve for 2018. My good friend Caroline from The Georgian Prep will be sharing her 2018 New Year Goals on her blog as well! Make sure to take a look at her list and blog. Lastly, be sure to follow her Instagram for creative shots featuring some preppy brands. These goals I will (attempt) to uphold during the year in order to impact my life positively. I have a lot of new ideas and plans for 2018 that I cannot wait to share on my blog and Instagram. Bring on the new year!
1) Reach 2,000 followers
Over the summer, I received many views on my blog and likes on my Instagram posts. Towards the end of summer, my account was barely receiving any engagement and it was realllllyyy slow. I haven’t gained followers in around six months, but this is all about to change.
2) Collaborate with Bloggers
Many girls in the blogger community like to do collaborations, which I would love to do more of! I’ve done a few, but I would love to incorporate more into my blog for a change.
3) Incorporate Videos / Youtube?
Recently I’ve been getting into incorporating videos onto my blog. As much as I hate to say it, sometimes it is easier to lean back and press play as opposed to reading a blogpost. As it’s already been proven, the generations’ attention span is getting shorter. I have done two travel videos on the blog and they have received positive feedback, which makes me want to do more!
1) Spend more time with those who make me happy
Though I already do this, I want to put this goal up as a reminder that I have to take each day for granted and live to fullest. I want to spend more time with people who raise me up and make me feel good about myself such as my grandparents, family, and friends.
2) Be more confident
I don’t lack confidence, but I want to gain more of it. Not only the basics of confidence, but to be more confident in school. Whenever I walk into a test (even if I prepare for it a lot), I get nervous and that makes it harder to take the test. I usually end up doing well, so the nervous bugs shouldn’t get to me! In the new year, I want to become more confident in myself.
3) Be more open-minded / open mind set
I like things organized, and to be the best that they can be. That doesn’t mean that I never change my mind based off other’s opinions or don’t listen, but I do like to have some control on a project or event. This goal goes along with my confidence goal, I want to have my limits expanded. What I think that I can’t do, I can!
Thank you for reading today’s blogpost and I hope you have a wonderful New Year! 2018 is the time for a fresh start and to make new goals. Let me know some of yours!
