My Favorite Books Of All Time

Today I decided to do a blog post dedicated to reading because of summer reading. I personally love reading, but I barely have time to personally read between school books, school, and volleyball. I thought that this type of blogpost would be fun to do and give you some reading suggestions. My two favorite book genres are novels and historical fiction. I’m not a huge fan of mystery nor fantasy, and never really was (unless you count The Magic Tree House). Underneath there will be a list of my favorite books. These books are in no particular order, so I’m not comparing them to each other because I love all of them. Enjoy!
1. To Kill A Mockingbird

This book is such a classic novel and I actually had to read it in school last year. I thought it would some snooze-fest book about a girl and her pet mockingbird, but it isn’t at all. It has so much meaning, symbolism, racism, and friendships. This book is truly amazing. This would probably be my all time favorite read.

2. The Help

The Help is another classic novel that I read last year and loved. This is the story of African American maids and their lives. This book is so truly touching and eye opening. Although this book is quite long, it is definitely worth the read.

3. Wonder

Wonder was a book I read a while ago. It’s a story of a young boy named Auggie who has a facial deformation that is very rare and he eventually has to school which causes hurt feelings, friendships, and difficulties.

4. Chains

Chains is a book of a slave named Isabel and how she works and her slave life. I don’t remember much about this book, but I certainly remember that it was great because I read the second one in the series all well!

5. Moon Over Manifest

This is an excellent book. Abilene Tucker is dropped off by her dad at Manifest and he tells her he will pick her when it’s time. Abilene learns what it’s like to stay in one place, trust, and secrets are hidden all around Manifest. I absolutely love this book.
